Periyar tiger reserve forest - Tiger

Our boat was the first one to enter the lake in Periyar tiger reserve forest on 5th feb morning. On our request they had given us single decker boat. we were little bored that we didn't find any animal for some time.

Twenty minutes into the ride, deeper inside the silent jungle, our boat driver spotted an animal walking from the lake towards the woods. He immedietly cut off the engine to stop the sound, driving the animal to go inside for hide out.

Boat crew shouted "leopard, leopard"..

Within seconds the animal entered the jungle. we waited for long just to have another glimpse at it. But it didn't turned out.

Meanwhile a foreigner had shot a photo of the animal using his long lenses. Zoomed in pictures of the shot confirmed that what we saw was a Tiger. A tiger in the jungle!
