ಈಗ

Person takes rebirth as house fly! and takes revenge against his killer. Taking this as story line, director Rajamouli is effective in making audience for a visual delight using photo realistic animation. With help of Rahul Venugopal, Adel Adili and Pete Draper he has successfully made a real-looking ‘fly’-world for us. Movie has been shot in two languages – telugu (Eega), Tamil (as Naan E) and dubbed into hindi as (Makki) and malayalam.
Kiccha Sudeep action here is applauding. Background music strengthens the animation effects. It would have been a real turn around in south Indian cinema if movie was made in 3D.
Soul is eternal; body is a vehicle. Sudeep kills the lover of the female lead character. Later takes rebirth as fly. Its good to watch how a small fly takes revenge on Sudeep eventually in the end kills him, thanks to great animation work.
A must for all those who makes fun of south Indian cinema for appreciating the creative work in use of technology in movie making. It is unfortunate that Sudeep's brilliant action is not available for kannada audience.

மாட்ட்ரன் Maattrraan

Maattrraan (maattran) supposedly means 'to become another person'. Here in the movie Akilan becomes Vimalan, by character. both the roles are played by Suriya. I could realise that Suriya has played double, only  after Vimalan got killed !!!! this translates to two meanings - one the graphics and make up is so good that its not easy to make out that the two you see on the screen are one; two I am poor both in visual sense and general knowledge!!!

Suriya has acted well ( in both the roles !!!). Roles are shown as Conjoined twins, supposedly Thoracophagus, where the twins are united at the thorax, sharing a common heart. In the movie they are shown attached at the lumbar region. this can be termed as lumbopagus, anatomically sharing Liver and other abdominal structures. In one of the twins there can be situs inversus. or it can also be altered Xyphopagus, sharing a part of sternum and diaphragm. Nevertheless, the attempt of showing a conjoined twin in a commercial movie, in a manner it simulates a regular one is highly appreciable.

Director KV Anand,  after getting inspired from a Thailand Siamese twins, waited 3 years to shoot this film, in a scientific manner. He has given due importance to each shot and situation, let it be in athletic nation Ukrain, or during tipping of man in dairy farm, or in making Akilan to eat with left hand days after death of his co-twin, or during alteration of the deal to take swollen pen drive from dead body during postmortem.

Unlawful ways of wealthiness can't go unpunished by the law of land, is the central theme of the movie. Director and co are successfully imbibe this idea in viewers. Movie concentrates on current serious issue in sport world- use of performance enhancing drugs. Similar substance (in this movie - its a steroid) is shown to be used in an energy drink, supposedly consumed by general public and in particular by children. As one can guess this movie in about exposing this nexus and punishing the guilty.

Story hoover's around the concept of personality change in Akilan after death of his co-twin Vimalan. Akilan is the dependent twin of Vimalan as they both share a single heart, present in later. Of course 'yes', the same old movie concept that after heart transplant, recepient will get donor's personality!!!
For me, watching Tara in a tamil movie was a suprise.
