consider spending a deepavali night like this...
- fire crackers making light and sound below ones feet..
- seeing the smoke of crackers from above..
- and witnessing the sunrise after a night of great firework..
Yes. Possible. If we are at the hilltop. Hilltop - ANTHARAGANGE. where else..
The schedule may be like this..
On saterday (17th) night 9 PM we assemble at KOLAR.
after packing neccessary package we can leave by 2 routes
- by 2 or 3 bikes, or in Mohan's van - to Paparajanahalli, half an hour drive from Kolar by-pass. Park the vehicle\s and start the trekking - mere 15 min smooth walk will take us to the peak of Anthaharagange.
- start from Antharagange base thats from Jalakanta temple - trek straight ahead leaving (off ) the steps to the peak, it will take 45 min to an hour in day light, may take 2 - 3 hours at night, a bit trecherous and highly enjoyable as we can clearly perceive our ascent above city lights and fire crackers.. one can halt at Deepa Bande - where they make deepa ( fire ) on Karthika monday - or at nearby cave - if it rains..
Witness the dawn.
Get back to Kolar by 8 or 9 AM.( on sunday 18th )
How's this ?
see how other people are perceiving our Kolar..
